seeing pictures from SE precon literally puts tears of joy in my eyes. i can't wait to exchange and hear stories from my family when i'm back on US soil.
belize camp was nothing short of a miracle from God. it was challenge galore: no electricity for the majority of the weekend, scorching hot and uncomfortable weather, working on 3 hours of sleep in the span of 48 hours while sleeping outside, & my voice being completely stripped down due to a nasty cough.....
yet through all of this: God willed us through. There is no other explanation as to how we made it other than that.
belize started out with zero youth prior to this youth camp and they now have a solid foundation of 43. the level of faith that they have especially with the adversity that they have gone through is nothing short of awe inspiring. many times i was tempted to complain especially with the absence of my comfort zone, but i realized why God put kiesha and myself into this situation. faith being a decision is tested to its peak when you're stripped down in this way & He didn't let us down one bit. God is SO amazing and I am so happy and excited that the youth of belize can unite together in a way that's never happened before.
as i head home tomorrow there's bittersweet feelings all around, cause i really missed home this weekend especially with the great time you all had but at the same time, i'd never trade this experience for anything. but as the heading implies, the best part of all was that the entire BODY was at work this weekend... in full force. =)
